Showcase and
Festival Styles
Showcase: In international circles, this is known as
the salon approach. Mike entertains at a designated area and spectators are invited to enter and get involved
in this lively space.
In short,
this is a "gathering" that acts like a "people magnet," and the emphasis is on people having a good time,
laughing and applauding. This creates a "human hot spot" of up to fifty clustering party goers at a
time.
Word-of-mouth excitement as spectators circulate among other participants relating what they
have seen and experienced. There are two different 25-minute performances every hour. After each set there
is a short break for while a new crowd is drawn.
Festival: Festival style is a variation
of "Showcase" that covers a lot of ground. The magician Sets up in various locations with a small table
and presents a fifteen to twenty minute magic show for 10-50 people at a
time. (If you've ever watched a good street performer
you'll get the basic
idea.)
Show times
can either be fixed or Mike can wander through the event setting up the show in a matter of minutes and drawing
a crowd to entertain. Great for festivals/carnivals and other outdoor
events.

Both approaches may be used outside or indoors.
